What is a session with me like? Fun, relaxed, laid back and real! I’ll ask you to look at me sometimes, but a lot of the time I want you to look at each other and just enjoy being with each other for a few minutes, away from all the craziness of life. If the kids don’t want to sit still, it’s okay – we will make it work! In sessions with just siblings or one child, we’ll tell jokes and play and move around, whatever is needed to ensure that fun is had and real smiles are plentiful. A forced smile that doesn’t really represent you or your kids is not my goal. I’d much rather get a gorgeous image of your little one staring at me, highlighting his beautiful eyes, then one with a fake smile. And while smiles are great, laughter is even better.
Your session consists of a set amount of time for shooting your photos, and prior to your shoot I spend time scouting the best locations, lighting, backgrounds, etc. After the shoot, I spend several hours going through all your images, picking out the best ones, and fine-tuning them before uploading them to a online gallery for you to see. After you have selected the images you like best, I provide those images to you digitally. My goal is to have your gallery ready for viewing within 5-7 days of your shoot, a little longer during the busy fall season.
As the mom of five, I understand the need to invest your time and money wisely. To that end, my sessions are timed and priced to fit the budget and lifestyle of busy families
Full sessions – $225 and up (+ NJ or NC state sales tax)
Full family sessions – $285 minutes outdoors for up to 6 immediate family members, at a location tbd, indoors may be possible
Extended family sessions - $300 and up depending on number of participants, approx 60 minutes outdoors
“Fresh 48” Newborn Hospital Sessions - $250, 60 minutes in the hospital within 48 hours of baby’s birth
Newborn Lifestyle Sessions – $350 , 90 – 120 minutes and are held indoors in the client’s home
Maternity sessions – $225, 35-40 minutes
Cake smash sessions – $225, 35-40 minutes, and can be added on to a mini or full family session for an additional fee, includes balloons and family brings the cake
Special event portrait sessions (Bar/Bat Mitzvah, First Communion) – $250 to $400, contact for specific pricing and information
Senior Sessions - $285, 60 minutes, may include 2-3 outfit changes
5-7 digital images included as well as a downloadable preview video
Travel fees may apply.
Session fee is due at the time of the session.
Additional digital images available for purchase at $25.00/image (+ tax in NC). Entire gallery may be purchased at $200.00 and up, depending on the session, and includes all digital downloads. USB of images available for additional purchase.

Perfect for holiday cards, marking milestones, or updating the family photo on your wall
20 minutes outdoors at a location to be determined (not available for indoor sessions due to the additional time needed for lighting set ups)
Up to 6 immediate family members (with more family members additional time may be needed to try to get everyone looking their best at the same time so a full session is required)
Not recommended for families with young children ages 1-3 or families that want to bring their dogs - they just need more time!
Not available for those who want prop set ups or clothing changes (full session required)

Deposits
All sessions require a $50, non-refundable deposit to hold the spot. Sessions can be rescheduled provided I am given 24 hours notice of the need to reschedule. Does not apply to COVID illness.
Rescheduling
Most sessions are outdoors and thus are contingent on weather. In case of inclement weather, I will make every effort to reschedule in a timely manner. Indoor sessions are possible depending on lighting conditions and can be discussed with me.
Model release
All clients will be asked to sign a model release so that I can use your fabulous pictures on my website, Facebook page and advertising.
What to wear
Coordinating, complimentary outfits, rather than matching, are best. Writing on shirts distracts from your beautiful faces, so try to avoid that as well. Solid colors are great. For ideas, check out my Pinterest page!
For newborn shoots, neutral colors for mom and dad (mom – be comfortable!), and a simple onesie for baby. Baby will usually be photographed wrapped in a neutral swaddle blanket or naked, because who can resist a naked baby?
Image editing
Images are edited to remove minor blemishes and discoloration, as well as distracting objects in the background when possible. As these are lifestyle images, though, we are capturing your authentic family as you are in this moment in time, so major editing, like “head-swapping”, extensive acne, slimming, removal of wrinkles, removal of a child or a toy from an image, etc., is not included.
